More BBQ

The two young men grew up in the orphanage system and with the help of NOROC, survived to attend university. Both have good jobs now, one as a construction worker and the other as a Cook', and live in an appartment at Casa Nuestra as caretakers of the property. On the outdoor BBQ, they grill delicious pork chops, ribs and sausage. The meat was accompanied by a delightful light salad of cucumbers, tomatoes, green onions, dill and a little oil. It was a perfect meal! We dined under the carport at long tables, end to end. Different tablecloths and mismatched plates completed the homecooked meal. Charming.

Some things are the same, no matter where one travels. The men congregated around the grill area, women gathered in the kitchen. The men did as they were told when asked to move a table or carry a heavy dish, then scurried back to the grill.

On the way to the tomb of the Martyrs. More later!
